 So far I love it! There are some pluses and downsides. On the plus side, because I'm prime member it came rather quickly and free shipping! I've been cutting away since I got it last week. The downside is the limitation on free access to Cricut Access for the Design Space. I got the machine on 3/30 and have Access until 4/17. The feature of one year subscription apparently doesn't apply across the board. It depends on which item you select on Amazon that day. So read carefully. If it's not mentioned in exactly what you purchase, it will be brief, if at all. And it looks like it is very limited in the 'free' images and fonts. That being said, I love the tutorials you can find all over the internet. I watch them over and over. If you are afraid of icons, (and there are plenty), the tutorials will be a great saver of frustration. I had an Expressions Cricut before. To me there is no comparison; the Explore Air 2 beats the Expression hands down! It is easier to use, there are more sources for help, although there are many icons, they are very organized in what each does. So, the learning curve isn't that bad. I'm back to scrap-booking and there isn't a page I made that hasn't come from my Cricut Explore Air 2. In four days I've made 4 pages and 2 cards. It is so much easier and fun with the Design Space and the images from Access. I was anxious to get this and got a really good deal. Be patient, the $ changes every day! I spent my savings on supplies I've been using with my Cricut Explore Air 2 since I got it. I have more coming in. I agree with others, the extra money isn't worth what you get in a 'packet'. If you price it out, and are patient, you can get some really good buys of supplies you 'intend' to use or try out, instead of what you may or may not use in a packet. I'm so excited, even still, as ideas keep coming to me on what I can try to do next!

 First of all, the poor reviews where people complain about having to purchase software is misleading. You DO NOT have to purchase software to use this machine. Cricut Design Space comes with the product and you can purchase monthly access to more images but it is not required. You can purchase individual images/fonts/etc if you choose but you can also find plenty of free files online or create your own by uploading images.Now onto my review. I LOVE this machine and have absolutely no regrets. I've made cards, banners, a shirt with iron on vinyl, wall art.. The possibilities are truly endless! The machine cuts so quickly and precisely--it's a work of art just watching it in action. I have been wanting a Cricut for YEARS and I am SO HAPPY I finally bought it.

 Our neighbor has one of these and kept making us the coolest gifts! So we purchased one and had a pro right across the street to teach us how to use it. Quite honestly, we needed it, because it can be confusing and complicated. Great news though,..there are many YouTube videos online to help you! We also watched many videos and even find that we need to rewatch them (or call the neighbor) to remember how to do stuff.
Fast forward almost a year and my husband, the big tough guy, has hijacked the Cricut! He has made every sticker he ever desired for the back of his pickup truck window and when he decides he doesn't like one anymore,..he makes a different one. From guns to Sasquatch,...he now has his dream stickers. Oh,..and if he puts one on crooked,..he doesn't throw a 2 year old temper tantrum,..he just makes another! He also just decorated cool MANLY insulated mugs to give the guys at work with guns on some and Harley bar and shield on others to give as Christmas gifts.
You can download just about any font you can imagine for free online,..there is an app called 'anyfont' and a free font website called 'dafont.' Again,...you will definitely need a good neighbor or watch YouTube videos on how to do this,...it's several steps the first time.
We use our wireless internet and iPads to make our projects. My husband and I each have our own Cricut account (accounts are free) so that we can be designing and creating at the same time. Here is the catch,..one must sign out of the Bluetooth before the other can sign in when they are ready to 'make' their creation. 
We are getting so excited for all the amazing new features coming in Design Space 3. We know you're all patiently waiting for the release, so in the meantime, we want to answer as many top questions as we can. Below our product team answers some of the most asked questions about Design Space 3 .. 
Why are you coming out with a new color when we need new software?
We have a huge team of engineers working on the next revision of our software - Design Space 3. We have been working for 18 months and we have ambitious goals on the user experience.
The color of a machine is done in factories and these are driven by trends and user demand. There are over 2-3 million projects being done every month and many of those users are looking for new colors to upgrade.
The software is done by a software team and is a major effort. There are over 1200 users externally using Design Space 3. And we are polishing up the experience.
We also plan to do a sneak peek of Design Space 3 during the HSN airing. Once we feel that the software really delivers the enhanced experience that we are aiming for, we will launch.

What things are going to be fixed with the new software? 
 Logic piano song. No more flash! That means no having to go in and update your flash plug in! We know - we are excited too!

No more tabs! Everything you need is already on your canvas screen. Ain't nobody got time for searching through tabs - spend your time creating instead!

Why do you only ship to US & Canada and why won't Design Space subscriptions work outside the US and Canada?
Cricut currently services customers through retail partners in the US, Canadian and UK markets. We have been selectively adding other English-speaking countries around the world and are working to enable our subscription in those markets.

Will the new software work with my current machine?
The new updated Design Space will have the same machine capabilities as the current machine. So for anyone who has an Explore, Explore one, Explore Air, or Explore Air 2 Design Space will work with your machine.
I know some of you may be wondering whether or not you have to purchase a new machine to use the software, if you have a machine in the Explore family you do not. However just like the current Design Space the update will not work with machines that are older than the original Explore. So if you have been looking for a reason the upgrade, let me tell you, this update to Design Space is just the reason you have been searching for. (Product Marketing Manager Cortney Haymond)
