PUBG update: The latest
PUBG Mobile 0.19.0 update overview
Release date: July 7, 2020
The latest PUBG Mobile update is here, and with it come some huge changes for one of the world's most popular games. The biggest new addition is an entire map, called Livik. The Nordic-inspired map is exclusive to PUBG Mobile, and it's playable right away despite officially still being in beta.
Like Karakin, Livik is a smaller 2×2 kilometer map that supports 52-player battle royale combat. This smaller size and reduced player count leads to shorter match lengths at around 15 minutes. That's not all though, as the map will also feature two exclusive weapons and an exclusive monster truck vehicle.
There's also a new Spark the Flame-themed event in Classic Mode on Erangel and Miramar, and the new season (starting July 14) will expand on this theme with new cosmetics and unlockables. Check out the full list of balance changes and bug fixes on the official patch notes.

For the speed demons out there a new race track has been added throughout the entire Miramar map. There's also a single Golden Mirado vehicle that spawns in each map, so try to find it and floss on your foes.
A number of other details were included in the patch notes, including two upcoming game modes, a new 20-player social mode, a new close range scope for rifles and shotguns, and some details about the new toy-themed season starting May 13. PUBG Mobile April update overview
Release date: April 16, 2020
We might all be stuck at home due to the global pandemic, but that doesn't mean you can't explore new modes in PUBG Mobile! Starting tomorrow (April 16), Arctic Mode will enable a brand new way of experiencing the classic Vivendi map.
In it, players have a new foe added to the standard 99 enemies on the field: frigid weather. Gather branches and start fires indoors to keep your temperature high or start taking damage. You can also use new items or cook items to restore body heat, giving new meaning to 'chicken dinner'.
As an extra bonus, the snowboards added in the Winter Festival are back, and remote-control drones are making their debut. Use them to scout out the landscape and gain a tactical advantage over other combatants!

© Provided by TechRadar PUBG Mobile Lightweight Installation FunctionAs is usually the case with most popular mobile games, PUBG Mobile too has evolved over time and become one big download for its users. However, following the exit of Tencent Holdings from the scene, the company has now announced a new update which drops the size of the game to just 610MB.
Previously, PUBG Mobile weighed close to 2GB, which means that it was one of the heavier games on the mobile space. The heavy size also limited the possibility of playing the game for those that didn't have the best smartphones out there.

PUBG Mobile: Lightweight installation function
The latest updated installation has been announced with the update 1.1 of PUBG Mobile. According to the patch notes this new feature, which will ‘provide a better gaming experience', was pushed out in the form of an update on November 10.
The patch notes suggests that the new installation would amount to 610 MB of storage space on Android devices. 'Download this small pack now to try a smoother and more stable experience. Players can download the content they want in-game. Download the 332 MB pack for better graphics or the 592 MB pack for upgraded visual effects.' it says.
Unfortunately, the minimum download size for iOS remains at 1.63 GB. And the blog does not mention if iOS devices will be receiving this light weight version any time soon. The extra resources would have to be downloaded to be played with the blog also suggesting that the download classification has also improved.
In addition, there are rumors that if and when PUBG Mobile India launches, it will probably share this lightweight installation function which would mean it would have a lower download size. This will be helpful for those with limited internet speeds as the game would download faster and be easier to play.
